I love this lab!
I love this lab!

In the past few months we have been outfitting one of the studio workspaces as a textiles lab. This has rapidly become one of my favorite workspaces at IMRC.  For equipment we have a Husqvarna Designer Topaz 30 CNC Embroidery Machine, Brother 3034D Overlock Serger, and a Juki 5550N Industrial Lockstitch. My sweet vintage Sears Kenmore is also on a temporary loan to the lab and can be seen between the serger and the embroidery machine. As you can also see we have a nice layout and prep area with plenty of light, sturdy cutting mats and all the accessories you could need to lay out a formidable project. Naturally we have an ironing station and garment steamer too. It’s so shiny! It’s so organized! I love this lab! I recently used this space to make a cover for our big sound board.
