James LeBlanc

James LeBlanc became a Graduate Assistant at the IMRC in 2022. James earned his Bachelor’s degree from Colby College with a focus in creative writing and film studies. Since graduation, he has spent immeasurable hours working with theatrical lighting and stagecraft throughout Maine. James is currently enrolled at the University of Maine, working towards a Masters in the Intermedia program. At the IMRC, James has expanded his skillset to include digital design, 3D modeling, audio and video production, laser cutting and engraving, and projection mapping. His main duties include teaching patrons of the IMRC how to safely use all the available equipment, though he can be found in any of the labs working on projects and running event support throughout the year.
