Fall 2024 Hunter Fund Recipients Announced

The IMRC Center is pleased to announce Fall 2024 Hunter Fund recipients.

The M. Perry Hunter, Jr. ’52 Fund was established in 2014. As an economics major at UMaine, Perry initiated several businesses as a student to pay for college tuition. Always a creative business person, he founded a successful pipeline tapping company in Connecticut. He developed the innovation of tapping into active water mains, allowing service to continue uninterrupted to existing customers.

The Hunter Fund is available to support students in unique, innovative efforts at the IMRC Center, whether academic or commercial. In providing for this fund, Perry hoped to support undergraduate and graduate students who have an entrepreneurial spirit and who work to develop modern solutions.
