Kathleen Toole

Kathleen joined the University of Maine September 2022 as an Administrative Coordinator for both the Innovative Media Research and Commercialization (IMRC) Center and Experiential Programs Innovation Central (EPIC). Raised in the Bangor area, Kathleen was previously a certified public educator in Maine schools for 16 years, teaching middle school Language Arts and high school English and Theatre in Hancock and Penobscot counties; she was awarded a U.S. Presidential Scholars Program Distinguished Teacher Recognition in 2020. Kathleen directed the Hermon High School co-curricular theatre program for eight years, including award-winning Maine Drama Festival and Maine State Show Choir Festival ensembles. Her background informs her dedication to supporting interdisciplinary collaboration and the success of all UMaine learners.
