Student Spotlight: Laser Engraving

Bryce Butterfield, ’27, a student of the Maine College of Engineering and Computing, visited the IMRC Center this semester to learn how to use the Universal 50w Laser. He had a project in mind, which we’d recommend for those hoping to acquire new equipment skills. Bryce’s project was not for a class–he actually wanted to embellish a highly-customized gift for a family member.

We caught up with him as he finished his project. In a matter of days, Bryce had gone from a laser novice to holding a custom engraved and ready-to-gift artwork. Well done!
